Project Background

This order was placed by a Russian customer specializing in materials research and industrial heat treatment, aimed at upgrading the insulation system of their tube furnace equipment. The customer had reported that their existing insulation material was experiencing elevated shrinkage under sustained high-temperature operation, along with slower heating and cooling response, which was affecting overall process stability and production efficiency. Based on the furnace dimensions, operating temperature range, and specific usage conditions provided by the customer, our technical team engineered a custom ceramic fiber insulation solution tailored to the structural requirements of their tube furnace.

Product and Technical Solution Overview

The shipped ceramic fiber refractory materials include:

  • Vacuum-formed ceramic fiber furnace liner — custom-molded to match the customer’s tube furnace bore diameter and length, providing a seamless installation fit that minimizes heat loss at joint locations
  • Ceramic fiber backup insulation blanket — serving as a secondary insulation layer to further reduce outer shell temperature and improve overall system energy efficiency
  • Supporting sealing and fixing components — ensuring the insulation system maintains structural stability under long-term thermal cycling conditions

Classification temperature and product specifications were selected based on the customer’s actual process temperature requirements, ensuring the insulation system supports the fast heat-up/cool-down response and temperature uniformity that tube furnace applications typically demand, alongside reliable long-term insulating performance.e any cooling stage, which removes that energy penalty entirely and simplifies the overall gas path.

Shipping and Logistics

The batch has completed factory quality inspection, with all key physical performance parameters — including shrinkage rate and density uniformity — confirmed to meet our factory specifications prior to release. The shipment has been dispatched to the customer’s location in Russia through our international logistics channels, with our logistics team having coordinated the necessary export customs clearance and shipping documentation. The customer is expected to receive the shipment shortly and proceed with on-site installation and commissioning.

Ongoing Support

We will continue to provide technical support to this customer, including installation guidance and process parameter optimization assistance as needed, to help ensure the tube furnace insulation system is brought into stable operation — supporting more consistent chamber temperature control and improved production efficiency for the customer’s ongoing research and processing work.

Going forward, we remain committed to deepening our partnerships with customers across Russia and the broader CIS region, drawing on our technical expertise and custom manufacturing capability in ceramic fiber refractory materials to deliver efficient, reliable insulation solutions for laboratory and industrial thermal processing equipment worldwide.
